Salomón Zulic del Canto was from the Season 2017-2021 a member of the ensemble at the "Saarländisches Staatstheater" in Saarbrücken.
The chilean-portuguese baritone began his musical studies at the Conservatory of the "Universidad de Chile" under the tuition of Fernando Lara and Patricia Cifuentes and continued his studies under the tuition of Gerard Quinn and Prof. Michael Gehrke at the "Musikhochschule Lübeck". During the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, Salomón Zulic del Canto was a member of the Thüringer Opera Studio. He studies with Prof. Hans-Joachim Beyer at the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT Weimar and sings at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, Theater Erfurt, Theater Nordhausen, and Bühnen der Stadt Gera. In the Season 2016/17 he was a member of the ensemble at "Landestheater Coburg". He also sang at the Theater Lübeck and at the Theater Kiel. Salomón Zulic del Canto’s repertoire ranges from Haydn’s “The Seasons” to solo recitals, and he has performed throughout Germany and Chile in venues such as the “Teatro del Lago” in Frutillar. He visited masterclasses with Helen Donath, Laurant Pillot, Thomas Thomaschke, Donatella Debolini and Cristina Gallardo–Domas. Besides, he continues to study with Brazilian soprano Neumar Dekanel-Starling and the tenor Franco Farina.
Salomón Zulic del Canto is also an experienced ensemble singer, having made guest appearances with the choir of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival Choir. Through these ensembles he has worked with many different conductors, and has taken part in concert tours across Europe and Asia.
